Scientist Discover Bacteria to Transform Couch Potato into Real Estate Millionaire

I was wasting time on Facebook the other day and saw an ad that really caught my attention. You’ve probably seen some version of it.

Hard Work Or Luck Directions On A Signpost

The ad shows a famous male celebrity with muscles busting through the seams of their shirts. I saw ads featuring The Rock and Mark Walberg. The muscles aren’t just big, they are huge. The effect definitely looks chemically induced. While headlines vary, they follow a similar script: “Can this Be Legal? Scientist discover secret herb that boosts muscle growth. Get overnight result without visiting a gym.”

I maxed out my credit cards and bought as many cases of the magical elixir as I could fit in my garage. I wanted to be sure I stockpiled as much of this stuff as possible before it’s banned. That was 6 months ago.

Tragically, I have yet to see any results.

Does this sound familiar? If you’ve been around Real Estate investing for any time now, it should. This same sort of sensationalism and snake oil salesmanship is common place in the Real Estate information business. Unfortunately the results of a gimmicky new investment strategy are just about as effective as a handful of magic beans.

Why is our culture so gullible? For some reason it’s easier to convince someone they can get something for nothing than for them to believe they can achieve whatever they want as long as they work for it.

It can be fun to dream of life as a lotto winner, but that’s all that it is – a dream. That’s why so many lottery millionaires end up broke and alone. Success belongs to those who actively pursue their dreams through strategic planning and hard work.

I’ll step down off my soap box. But before I do, I want to explain why REI360 was founded. We started this interface to provide real education, real tools and real community to help real people succeed as Real Estate investors. If you’re looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, you won’t find it here.

Maybe this weekend I’ll give Mark Wahlberg or The Rock a call to help me clean these boxes out of my garage. Next time I’ll consider buying some weight training equipment or joining the gym to build some massive biceps.

Just like Real Estate investing, building muscles takes some work.
